Howdy all, my name is jonathan, i am staying in an Akha hilltribe village in northern thailand. I was thinking of new ways to bring more attention to the situation here, and I thought about signing up for these meeting web sites. Anyhow, I thought that you might be able to help us out. Maybe do a story on us, or just become more aware of the situation here, that not only is effecting the Akha and other hilltribes, but due to the US fueled "drug war," which has left over 10,000 dead last year, has left us with a non-existent activist community as well. We need to spread the word about what is going on here. People are being killed by the government, raped by the police, forced from their land, and forced to take jobs spraying pesticides on the land they onced farmed for food, so they can sell flowers in downtown bangkok.
